Yup… the nausea has started hitting me. I haven’t actually vomited yet but I’ve had waves of nausea all day long. I’ll be happy when I’m through this first trimester. :p
Well… for the most part. My symptoms still haven’t changed any… I’ve started having very slight waves of nausea occasionally but I’m prone to nausea anyway with the Metformin. I keep being reminded that I have to move slower and more carefully nowadays so I don’t pull muscles. A big black beetle came flying into the bedroom tonight and I jump up and ran into the hallway far too fast. I then spent 3 minutes clutching myself because of the strain on the abdominal muscles. Stupid beetles. >:( (Not to be confused with The Beatles.)
I found a women’s clinic that is accepting new patients. I’ll give them a call and set up appointments once I’m approved for insurance. I’m hoping it’ll be next week since they have all of my info. It shouldn’t be too long after that for us to get our first ultrasound and see a heartbeat.
I found a really nifty site today that shows in-womb videos of fetuses (fetus’s? fetii?) at various stages of development. It was really cool to see a live fetus at 4 wks 4 days. If you’re interested, here’s the link: http://www.ehd.org/movies.php?mov_id=20
We’ll be making our formal announcement to KoL on my upcoming Tuesday RKOL show. It should be fun to see how many think it’s an early April Fool’s Joke.
My blood work from last week came in. They didn’t run an hCG screen so they had no idea that I was pregnant. We showed them the test from the other day and she said, “Can you pee for me?” Of course, the test came back positive and I got my “Official Letter of Pregnancy”™
My blood work looks perfect… like, really. My cholesterol was 151. My progesterone, 12.8, FSH 0.6 and LH 0.3. For those of you that have no idea what any of that means, it means I’m “normal”.
She gave me a due date of Nov. 25 which puts me at 5 weeks instead of 4 wks and 3 days. Of course, that’ll change again when I get my first u/s which will be at sometime between now and May 13. I still maintain Nov. 29.
That’s all for now! We’re super excited and thank you all for the words of encouragement and support. It means a lot to Will and I.
We’re so glad you could all be a part of this exciting journey with us.
The only real symptoms I’m experiencing right now is constant cramping and extreme exhaustion. I feel so tired all the time but then, I can’t sleep at night. It’s strange. I lie awake until 2 or 3 am and then wake up at 7 or so. (The last few days have actually been around 6.)
I’m so worried about miscarriage after reading so many stories but then I remember that we have good, strong genes in my family. I go to the doctor in the morning and I’ll probably feel better when I see some numbers. I’ll feel A LOT better once I see a heartbeat.
People tell me that I’m going to worry all through the pregnancy and to just try to relax. I’m trying! I really am! I’m enjoying the whole experience, I just wish the worry would back off. :p
Wow! What a weekend it’s been! After trying for quite sometime, we have finally successfully gotten pregnant! As of this posting, we are 4 weeks and 1 day along.
I will be due November 29. Just a short 1 weeks and 2 days after my birthday!
